Safari at the beautiful Mahali Mzuri 

It is very hard to describe such a wonderful place but hopefully my pictures do it justice.  It really is special and from the moment our ranger ‘Jackson’ picked us up from Mara North’s tiny airstrip to the day we flew home we adored everyone and everything about Mahali Mzuri

I had been on safari once before in South Africa for my honeymoon and always hoped that one day when the kids were old enough to appreciate it we might take them too.  It has been one of our most memorable family trips and we were made to feel so welcome by everybody there.  There are loads of lovely touches everywhere you go and the views wherever you sit are absolutely stunning – perfect for watching all the animals that come to graze in the valley below.  The rooms are spacious with an enormous viewing deck with loungers and bean bags and a beautiful bathroom complete with rubber duck!  Of course the highlight is the game drives and I still can’t believe how lucky we were to see everything on our list and more.  What I love most about the whole safari experience there is the warm and welcoming atmosphere they have created.  Although it is without a doubt a luxury camp there is no sense of the 5 star superiority you see at so many top hotels. There is a lovely sense of family and community that I’m sure makes people very keen to return…………………….
